Cat. #001351011102: CHARLES FARRELL & JANET GAYNOR

Rare and superb 11x14-inch behind-the-scenes portrait for Tess of the Storm Country (1932), boldly signed in fountain pen by frequently-paired stars Charles Farrell and Janet Gaynor, as well as the director, Alfred Santell, and presented to Fox executive J.H. Huber around the time of the film's release. An unknown hand gives the dedication, playfully referencing both the film's title and its lousy reception as "a box-office hurricane." In good condition for its age, with minor crinkles to the bottom corner tips.
